how 2 tell the gb of a hd? how 2 make it slave[HELP PLEAZ]

Ok my maxtor hd dossent give he jumper settings 2 make my hd slave and it dossent show the mb on it I lok all ova it how do I find the gb wit out hooking it up and I need 2 know how 2 set it up as slavehwlp me oleaz ??!!!!!

if its SATA hdd theres no jumpers for them if its PATA ie ATA there will be jumpers 4 or 3 atleast look harder they should be there and the only way to find the gb capacity is to put it in and it will say in the BIOS

look up the model by finding the drives serial number and going to the Maxtor site. They will tell you the size and jumper settings.

COuldnt you just multiply the CHS * 512bytes/sec to find the size?
