I don't know what chipset AMD processors require, the gigabyte Mobo has AM2+/AM2, will it be comaptible?
Is 500 Watts enough for future crossfire?
I will go with the 955.

your orginial choice of mobo won't support crossfire.

motherboard- best to get ddr3 RAM, don't get DDR2

500W is not enough for crossfire 6850. Even 650W is not really juicy enough. Get 750W if you plan to crossfire 6850

Thanks Mihir for suggesting these sites.
Actually the main thing about buying online is that my dad isn't optimistic whether the quality of the online products, whether the products are new, whether they are second hand. Is it safe to buy from the online sites? Didn't do for anything except Ebay.

Even I find hard convincing my parents. But it is completely safe.I have ordered from all 3 of those sites. They are very reliable and the plus point is since the majority of the people still dont trust online sites so their replacement service is awesome.Once I got 2 free tshirts and also 3 free games because of some shipping mistakes by the sites.
SMCINTERNATIONAL is India's Biggest Computer Store and Primeabgb is Maharshtra's Best and the biggest Computer Shop.
I have experience of primeabgb's service and its exeptional

Sounds good, but primeabgb doesn't have much intel cpu range, only 6 processors.
But I like their pricing, they are quite worth it.
Did you check out bitfang.com it has got range of comp hardware.

Yes I know about bitfang but their prices are high because they spend most of their money on advertisements in all the computer magazines available in India.

PS good thing you didnt go to those indian forums they have really mean and rude users on this forum people are very friendly and knowledgable. Also they give better advice.Indian forums are full with rich guys having gulftown as processors.

Is bitfang safe as smcinternational?
Well yeah I like this forum compared to Indian forums.

I will buy Mobos from bitfang and Sandybridge from smcinternational. :)

Get an Asus motherboard and GPU since their service is pretty good in Pune. The service centre in Pune doesnt even require a bill for warranty cover. As far as the socket goes it doesnt matter since for 3 years anything happens to the motherboard will be covered by the Asus.
For other Brands motherboard you would have to go Mumbai for warranty cover.

Looks good, I think I will finalize i5- 2500k. Can you suggest a mobo for it?
With possible future SLi.
