Hello,

My question is: How can i burn an .AVI file that i downloaded to a dvd? The video that I want to make as a DVD has around 24 .AVI files, and i would like to burn it to a dvd so that i can watch it on a stand alone dvd player...

Thanks

The files must be converted to MPEG format. Go to videohelp.com and search for a program calle SUPER. It should do it for you. On that site, look for the DVD specs; bitrates, FPS, resolution, etc... Be sure you set everything accordingly or it won't work. You also might want to find a bitrate calculator to be sure you don't set things too high and it not fit on the DVD...

As for burning it... There are tons of programs to do it. I don't know of any free ones right off, but there might be something on video help...

Well.. I had never had any issues with burning .AVI files off the bat or anything.. I'm not sure where all the problems come from... I use Nero and/or Windows Movie Maker and they all seem to work fine..

Have you ever tried it before? If not, and if you are not afraid of maybe wasting one DVD, you can try Movie Maker which is readily available to you.
