How can I disable my router so I can run a counter-strike server, the main reason I want to do this is because every time I start a server up nobody joins my friend tried joining and said that the server isn't responding. The server isn't resonding due to me having a router. I have a "Ethernet Broadband Router", And everytime I try unplugging it and using only my cable modem there is a error message that pops up and a timer and says that Windows will shutdown in 60sec. and it's a timer, this happens in 5 minutes right after I unplug my router. Can anyone help me disable my router so I can host a server??

Well if you disable the routing part you wont be able to share internet. Realistically all you have to do is either do port forwarding or put yourself in the router's DMZ and you can host away
