How can I download viruses so I can learn how to fix them

Hey I want to go into the computer bisinuss after highschool and I want to learn everything about computers wich I know is unrealistic so I would like to know the most as possible at my age

So I have lately have been just watching videos on Windows 7 optimization and virus cleaning and so on so I know some about Windows but a lot more than I did but the problem is that I have Windows 7 on a 6 year old TOSHIBA sattilite and I'm not up to date and plus I can't even update Windows when I had to reset it to the original pre installed software lol

So I would like to know how I can purposely get some viruses and learn more by fixing the computer and if you know any other ways for me to learn a lot for free

If you want to learn how to remove viruses and other malwares I would suggest joining MRU (Malware Removal University ) which is the best free place for that.

If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? I used to do similar things in middle school and early high school, but if you are seriously considering about going into the IT field after high school and going to college, virus removal isn't where you should be focusing all your time. While that's good to know, I would be studying up on programming, networking, security, etc, these are the areas you are much more likely to find useful as you enter college and the working world. There isn't a whole lot of money and advancement to be made in repairing home computers.

Mess around with Raspberry Pi's. Turn them into various servers, run some routing or firewall functions to get a sense of some programming and networking skills. Get an old Asus wireless router, flash DD-WRT/OpenWRT/Tomato on it and mess around with advanced networking and wireless functions. IMO these are things that would get you places faster than learning how to optimize Windows 7 and remove viruses.

Now ant that the truth, no one does my friend, I have a degree in "business and computing for science" yet know nothing really about them, I can keep my PC undated and avoid viruses as well as possible I guess, but if one was to sneak though like everyone else I would have to wait for Microsoft or Avira to provide me with a fix that does everything for me in a single update.

I would hand this question to anyone who thinks they know everything about computers, "if you were stranded on a perfect island with all the natural resources you would ever need available to you and the tools to extract them, how long do you think it will be before you can send me an email?"

As for find a virus, I would say trying studying the code instead that is a virus, rather than downloading a working compiled executed virus to your system, that would prove a better educational form, and also study the OS around the area of its API's, the 2 are linked, to understand a virus on a creation level you would also have to also understand code around what the virus is aimed to effect, which means studying the OS and its API's and drivers.

can't honestly say I have ever looked for such code, but am sure you can google it yourself try googling "code for a computer virus" could be a good starting point in a search.

Unless you've got an ISP hidden where the sun don't shine you're not going to be sending any kind of email from a deserted island regardless of how good you are with computers.

Actually I would be beyond impressed would class you as as the greatest genius of all time, if you was to get to the point where you could even type out an email without achieving the ability to send it, because obviously its impossible you could stick bill gates or even Alan Turning in that case senario, if fact what the hell send them both together along with Steve Jobs then let them have Stephen Hawking as well along with Albert Einstein joining there team, and still getting that email out of them would not happen.

I don't think it's necessarily a 'smart' thing. Even if you knew exactly how to create every component it'd take over a lifetime for a single person to develop all of the components and dependencies for something that vaguely resembles a PC of today.

Why make an email when you can fairly easily create an FM transmitter and transmit a distress call over HF?

Thanks so much I just don't know how to go about doing that stuff and half that stuff is Spanish but the reason I was doing virus stuff was that was realy the only way I could think of to learn stuff cus my computer knolage is not extensive but I don't need to make excuses though cus I'll neve get anything done lol :)

I onistly would love to do ENTERNET safety cus I think of things in creative and diferent ways so I realy think I would love to do that but just don't think I have that exstensive enough knolage of computers to do it

While it's not free, for $40 you can get a Raspberry Pi which is basically a miniature computer that you can install Linux onto and do thousands of different things with. It's the tinkerer's dream toy.

https://www.amazon.com/Raspberry-Pi...8&qid=1475523576&sr=1-3&keywords=raspberry+pi

If you have an old wireless router that your family no longer uses, or they upgrade, try loading the third party firmware to it and mess around with it. Those are areas that will be very useful later in your computer education.
