How can I keep my open window from being hi-jacked?

This usually happens when I click on a link in my email. I have a webpage opened and click a link in email and the link uses the page I already have opened. I want a new page to open when I click a link. Is there a setting for this?

Windows XP pro SP2

just hold shift when you click the link and it will open a new window

I just tried and it did not work. It opened a 'Locate Link Browser'

go to folder options in controle panle and in folder options set it up there to open each window in its own window.
