How can I protect my computer!! NEWBIE

I just joined this forum not to long ago but I am having a bit of a problem on how to protect my computer for adware, spyware, malware etc. .... applications.

I read the above sticky but I still need clarification and what approach to take! I just started using Mozilla fox for my internet but I have no protection so I get pop-ups and a really slow internet connecton!!:eek::eek:


What is the best free Firewall, Anti-Virus, and Anti-Spyware protection to use?........

Firewall = Zone alarm and/or Comodo
Anti viruses = AVG or AVAST or NOD32 or even Kasperky

google them up

I agree with Jabes. Spybot is one of the best antispyware programs, as for antivirus I personally use NOD32, but AVG is also a very good antivirus. However, I would not say a good word about the Norton, it simply eats to much of RAM. I really hate that!

I use avg but if norton didn't take up so much ram I would use it instead
