How can I remove Cortana from my Computer?

I've been watching my internet data usage because my computer has been running so slow since I updated to Win10. I searched and found a lot of info on speeding it up buy turning things off in the settings.

I turned off Cortana but it is still accessing the internet from my computer among other Apps that I will never use so I deleted almost all the apps, but can't see anyway to delete Cortana.
 
Well it turns out to be much more difficult than it looks because after doing a couple of different methods posted on that site, Cortana automatically returns. My brain hurts right now so I'll have to read some more about it in the morning after I get some sleep. :confused:
