How can i remove the processor

They all come off they're just usually really tight. Are you sure there aren't any levers or screw drivers placements. As usually on the older heatsyncs there are metal brackets that have teeth to which you slot a screw driver in, press down and pull outward.

They may be held on by little clamping plastic things. ( I doubt it) but if it is held on like that you must take the motherboard off the case and pinch the clamp and there you go.

just unlock the heatsync clamp, unlock the cpu restraining lever, and gently ease out the CPU. see CPU 101 for more details

To remove the heatsink on a S478 you have to flip 2 white latches on the top then you can use a flat screwdriver to lift the side peices where the white latches are.

You can see 2 of the side peices here and the latches you need to lift.

I am understanding that you can't remove the heatsink from the cpu. If thats the case i suggest running something cpu intensive like a benchmark or something then try taking it off. If you already took the pc apart just use a hair dryer on the heatsink for a while it worked for me. The thermal paste seems to stick like glue when it cools.

If I did that wouldnt damage the chip or something ?

No, you can also lift the side pieces with your fingers if you can get enough leverage, I've done it both ways but using a screwdriver is much easier. It's hard to show exactly how to do it, but when you are looking down at it you should be able to see where to 'pry' and once you get one side off you might be able to just lift it off. If not, you will be able to lift it with 3 off.
