How can I restore data/users in Windows XP SP2?

My sister was kind enough to lend me her work laptop and I unfortunately I managed to break it. I was not permitted to create new accounts and so I renamed her existing account. I am afraid that I have now lost her data. Any assistant would be much appreciated.

The laptop is running Windows XP Version 2002 with service pack 2. In C:\Documents and Settings\ there are the following folders (Brackets are used only for the purpose of describing the problem and replace the real name of the folders):

- Administrator
- administrator.[WORK]
- All Users
- [My Name]
- [My Sister]
- [My Sister].[WORK]
- [WORK IT technician]

Control panels only lists the following domains:

- Administrator
- ASPNET
- [My Name]

All three of these are listed on the same local domain : [WORK1] Prior to my fiddling there was another domain on the list: [WORK2] which required connectivity to the work network. Now none of the accounts are associated with this domain. I'm at a lost as to what I can do.

Ultimately I would like to recover the data for [My Sister] and [My Sister].[WORK] and I have the passwords for these accounts. How can I proceed so as not to jeopardized her data any further?

XP stores data such as e-mail, favorites, Application settings, My Documents and Anything on the desktop in the C:\Documents and Settings\ folder under there name. Normally only a user with Administrative rights or the user who owns that account can open that folder.
