So I want to make the computer boost in performance because I edit videos and my computer is a bit laggy when working with HD video (1920x1080)and Sony Vegas/Adobe After Effects .Im aiming at a good quad core(if possible) and 6GB RAM but im not sure where I can buy the parts that match my computer. If any of you guys can help me out on what to buy that would be awesome!!!

What I want to spend 250$-400$.

you should be able to go up to probably 8gb's of ram, but the cpu is stuck. I'm pretty sure that because of the design they have to use low power low heat processors, and anything more is going to be hot and going to overheat, especially since you can't even fit the cooler in one of those cases and its cooler can't handle it.

Yeah, RAM seems like the only thing that can be upgraded with a computer like that. I would go with 8GB of 1333mhz RAM. Is there any slots in back that can be unscrewed easy? Look for the RAM. I think you'd have to get sticks without a heat spreader on it to fit it in there.

I know my dad's iMac does, so there is a chance that that thing uses 204-pin laptop memory.

Also just noticed, your thing says 4gb (3.75 usable), can you click the windows logo at the bottom of the screen, then right click on computer and select properties. Then under the system section, tell us your system type, it sounds from that like it's 32-bit which is restricted to less than 4gb's of ram no matter what, so if you put in 8gb's, you'll still only have 4gb's. Although the reason it says that might be different, you still need to check that.

I did a bit of research this memory from crucial fits my model desktop.

would 8GB or RAM help out for video editing? because I sometimes do receive a "memory error".
I also found what cpu fits my computer.

The new egg cpu is out of stock but I know a place with an abundance of cpu's near my place.

Do u guys really think my cpu will overheat?

Might help you some.

And those are supported, but their heatsinks are wayyy to big for that kind of computer, and they wouldn't be able to get any air to cool the cpu either, those computers use special heatsinks and generally they are only able to handle what they come with without overheating. You can google if anyone has successfully replaced a cpu in one, but i highly doubt it.

From all of the reviews everyone is saying that it stays at a relatively low temperature.Ill be going to bestbuy soon and im gunna ask around and investigate this some more.
Thank u for all of your input guys

That one might work, it is made more for your style computer, that's why it's suck low power and a low speed, only thing i hate is how much they cost for less power and speed.

Less power and speed? Will that processor make my pc performance better along with the 8GB RAM? because the GHz is at 2.5 and my current one is at 2.9 but only dual core.
