How cold can a computer really get?

So i was thinking about putting a computer in an outside building this fall and leaving it out there to run 24/7 and i was wondering how cold is too cold. I mean i know you want your computer to run cool but what would happen if you kept it running and it went all the way down to freezing temperatures. What hardware would fail first. This is more of a hypothetical situation as the room my computers is the worst heated room in the house during the winter therefor the computers would keep it warmer if left running.

From what I know, you really shouldn't let a PC run in temps lower than about 50°F/10°C. They're not designed for freezing temps, or high humidity either, for that matter.

No, condensation would probably short out the power supply or the motherboard traces, ending the party real fast.

ha ha, wonder what kind of overclock you could do if you put a computer in a freezing building in the winter with a dehumidifier to keep the condensation down.
