How complicated is it to change a graphics card?

Do you just take the old one out and plug the new one in, or is it a lot more complicated? I'd assume that it's complicated, but I do really want to upgrade the graphics card

Thanks!

Uninstall the video drivers, shut down the system, remove card, insert new card, turn system on and install latest drivers.

Err... make sure your Power Supply is good enough for a new GPU as well, your system is well compatible before considering an upgrade.

I saw your gtx 560 ti thread, if that's what you were looking at.

Thank you both for your answers :) yes I am looking to buy a great gaming computer with a great gaming card, but it's so difficult to find one for my budget of £650 excluding monitor and accessories (desktop only)

I'm pretty sure £650 should be enough to build a great computer. There was somewhere a list of components for a certain budget, i'm not sure how exactly to get it, but if you ask around the forum, someone should be able to give it to you. Make sure to talk to a specialist before buying, as compatibility is a serious matter.
