how could i

i was wondering how i could toast my cpu to make it look like it died from age
see i have a p3 500MH/z and it is from 1998 i would like if my dad could help me get my new system so what could i do to make my cpu look like it is finaly dead like the system is allready on the fritz and my dad knows that so if u guys could help me with a sugestion

you could try toasting it in the fireplace for a little to give it that golden brown look.

wel i was thinking of taking of the heat sinck and fan but ive herd that intel has an amergencie shut off so the cpu wont die if some one does that

You should have a switch on the back of your PSU thats saying 115V and 230V, so if you are living in USA it should be set on 115V to destroy your computer set it on 230V, turn ON the computer, watch the fireworks  , turn OFF the computer (lol, it's already turned OFF) change the switch back to 115V.

First i would try taking the heatsink and fan off, and if that doesnt work i would try taking off a few pins and puting it in the motherboard, this will either fry the motherboard, psu, cpu, or all 3 of them.

That doesn't do anything at all. Only if you live in a 230 area and switch it to 115 will you get fireworks.

you copuld take out the motherboard and rub it around on the carpet, it should fry from the static, i think

I believe that useing a paperclip to short different pins in one or both of the PS/2 ports works

As does connecting random metal things inside the power supply

all these things would probakly worck but in my house i only have ceramic tyles so no carpet

well you could just take a baloon, rub it in your hair, and let in drop onto the motherboard.... i think that would work

Or take a regular plug that you would put into a wall socket, cut the end off, strip the wires, plug it in, and touch the motherboard with it. Talk about electricity....

ya but how would that make it look like it dyed my dad would see that some one shuved something in thats y i thought of taking heat sink of because isnt it true that the older a cpu the hotter it gets with age so i thought that would make it look like it over heated and dyed i allready get crashes sometimes from playing guild wars and i think its because of temp but i need to permanently ruin it as if it died

max the voltages in the bios, and take the heatsink off. that would really kill it.
no, it doesn't get hotter with age depending.
normally it only gets hotter when the power is turned on haha.
sometimes, if you just put a new layer of Silver 5 on, it gets cooler with age :)
just take the heatsink off.

Try touching everything with magnets while the computer is running, but I suggest tying the magnet to a stick.

you could get one of those water dropper things that drop little bits of water at a time and drop a tiny bit of water onto the motherboard while its on... should do the trick, and i dont think you could find the drop of water
