Depends on if you have a open second bay to install it as an additional drive or you have to remove existing drive to install the new one. its just a matter of setting the jumper correctly on the drive and attaching it to the ribbon cable if its an IDE drive or Sata Cable(No jumpers are required for a sata drive).
I do have the empty spot for the burner. Any idea where to get one? I browsed online for one with out much luck. I probly looked right over it cause I didnt know what I was looking for. Thanks friend. larry

Just plug the SATA cord into the back of the dvd burner, then into the motherboard, no jumpers, nothing, should be recognized and work in Windows automatically (no software updates, etc)
