How do I add voice to digital pictures?

I want to send my mother (lives in Europe) one of those digital frames with USB memory key full of pictures and video but first I want to add voice comentary to the pictures and possible to the video too. How do I go about it? Needs to be simple I'll have over 1000 pictures. Thank you.

yes. on the pc. a free progrma that comes with it is windows movie maker. you can use that to do what you want

While Windows Movie Maker is a good program, it doesn't work on a Mac to my knowledge (I don't think they make a Mac version). However, there should be plenty of excellent movie programs for free on the Mac that would do what you need... Heck, even to a limited degree Powerpoint can do it, but I would instead try to do a slideshow program like what Photoshop Elements or other similar programs have.

o. did not see the mac. i really need to just get a mac and use it to help people out on it. thank god for the mac mini. and the student discount
