How do I build a laptop from a braebone?

I am interested in building a computer from scratch or a barebone kit, but where do I begin??

I want to be able to put my own graphics card, cpu, hard drive and Memory in it, but I don't know where to buy these parts.

Ive built a desktop so I have an idea of what to do and how to put it together, but maybe someone has a guide that could help.

Any recommended part/ kits to start with. have about a $1000 budget

Edit: I am going to play Left 4 dead 2, lost planet 2, diablo 3 and some other games on it. Not to graphics demanding. I have an OS already

Don't bother. Finding a bare bones laptop is very difficult and unless you have the spare parts laying around, it'll typically be more expensive than purchasing a premade laptop. Besides, as with all laptops, you can't just put any graphics card into it. You're still very limited as to what it can accept, if the GPU is even removable.

For me, I had a spare Core 2 processor laying around (T5xxx, forgot the exact model) and could pull some RAM out of my old Insiron 1420. However, I'd still need some hard drive, so we'll say $50 for a 160GB off Amazon. So the price would end up being about $530.
