How do i connect a printer that is connected a XP onto a Mac????

My friend has a printer on a XP machine.... and we want to get it working on his Mac Book Pro.... how do we go about it i have downloaded the driver and have installed it on the computer... so now what do we do....???? we can't find it via the network at all......

We can view the computers on the network like the Vista Laptop and the XP desktop but not the printer. the printer will work on the Vista Machine fine but not sure why we can not view it on the mac machine..... :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Edit - we have got to the point where we can now see the printer.... but we can get it to work because the OS doesn't have the driver. We have installed the driver but the OS won't pick up the driver.... so what do we do?????

Isn't it supposed to be a Mac driver?
Try searching for a mac driver.....

Not sure it will fix your issue.

But worth a shot ;)

Yeah... i have got the mac driver.... and it is install i'm downloading a newer driver now.... so hopefully it will work........ :confused::o:)
