Hey guys I have a toshiba satellite L300 laptop and the touchpad has gone squirly and only works once in a while. Sure, I can put on a regular mouse on the side, but I would prefer not to.

Anyways I go on ebay and type toshiba satellite touchpad and a few models come up. I can't find any information in the device manager either. I was wondering if you guys know of a way that I can get the model number of the touchpad so I can order a new one.

Aside from taking my computer apart of course.

thanks

i think that when you look on ebay they should tell you the model number of the computer that the part will fit, so either look underneath the laptop to the place where it says model number or open up cmd and type systeminfo, that will tell you your computer model number and else.
otherwise, you might as well take it apart since you will need to do it when you buy the replacement, if you type your model number and "take apart" into google or youtube you should get a few websites that show you how to do so!, the model number of the part will be on the touchpad... enjoy!!!
