How do I get a CD to run?

I have a cd for installing a video driver that I need to install, but it won't run. Normally, when I install an installtion cd, an installtion wizard window automatically pops up as soon as I install the cd. That's not happening with this disc. In fact, I can't get it run at all. I even tried clicking on "my computer" then right clicking on the "D" drive to run the cd that way, but it still won't run. What do I need to do to get this thing to install?

I think that the best way would be to download the driver off the web and install it that.

if its the display adapter then goto:
start
right click computer
manage
device manager
click display adapter
right click your display adapter
update driver software
then you have two choices to auto update which ya could try or browse to cd and let it search there.
