I bought the acer aspire 5920 and it says its (ready for output to HDTV) so i bought a rocketflesh cable which is supposed to hookup from your laptop to an HDTV. So i had everything hooked up and bought the HD dvd "300" well everytime i put it in, nothing happens no programs come up, nothing at all. My laptop acts like its trying to read it but nothing ever happens, but when i put in a dvd it works fine windows media player comes up and it transfers the picture from my screen to the tv. Any advice would be helpful at the moment thanks.
. just because your laptop has HDMI (mine does too), it doesnt mean it can play HD DVDs. you have to have an HD DVD drive instead of the regular CD/DVD drive. The option to add an HD DVD drive to a laptop usually costs $200-400. sorry to rain on your parade
