How do I get rid of Windows 10 Upgrade?

I'm rolling back all of my computers to WIN 8.1. I found too may things in WIN 10 that WIN 10 would not do. It was frustrating. I'll have to put the free download on a disc to get ready for Microsoft's denial of its customers on July 29th. Then when WIN 10 is no longer free, I can freely put it on one of my computers. Maybe I should download it to four discs. Then I would have all my computers covered. You never know if Microsoft knows you are downloading more than one disc???

You can still upgrade all of them windows 10 again after the date and you only need 1 dvd to do it. What things won't it do for you?

Yep, as long as you have installed Windows 10 on your machine during the "Free upgrade" period, you're free to roll back to whatever OS and still keep the activation for Windows 10 if you decide to switch back to Windows 10 after July 29, 2016.

One thing it won't do is print from email. Also it won't burn a disc. Yesterday there were five things it would not do. I know you don't have the problems I do with this O/S.

I don't think those are OS specific issues. What applications are you trying to use for these tasks ?

If they aren't O/S specific, what are they?
Short answer: User ;)

Longer answer: I was hoping to see what kind of applications or approach you were using in order to accomplish these tasks. The OS itself can complete any of the tasks you've listed, there are also third party applications that will do what you're looking for.

I would say upgrade issues not OS issues. Many issues when upgrading from previous OS instead of doing a clean install.

To print from WIN 10, I had to forgo using the WIN 10 email and use my own email app.

Is there any way to turn off automatic update in Windows 10? It's one thing that frustrated me, always seems to hold me up at the worst times. Also anyone else notice that Ctrl Alt Del as a scapegoat to task manager when you're in a dire situation is basically useless now? It just doesn't work if the OS crashes in the slightest bit it seems.

Unfortunately not. Updates in 10 are mandatory. :(

I have a feeling Microsoft is gonna pull some shifty stuff and all the non-adopters of Windows 10 are gonna get screwed
... I'm betting people who didn't switch are going to regret it.

I've resisted and put off updating my two Win7 desktops so far, but plan to go ahead and update one with a clean install next week, after I get back from a short vacation. I figure any major issues have been found by now.

That's actually very helpful Cromewell. I was looking for that download now and install when I choose to option.

Try Linux Zorin os 9 has its own office and runs on less power. I have windows 10 on my upstairs pc and Linux I put on my wifes dead machine after cramming a new terabyte drive in it. I use google Chrome on it; but you can use any.
