how do i know how much internet i am using

hello. i was wondering how much light internet browsing and video watching would it take to reach 1 gb of use?i wanted to know so i can choose a 3G or 4G plan for a 4G or 3G laptop. thanks. also is there any tool that i can use to keep track? thanks all.

ya but you can check it manually in the Internet status how much the usage has been done .

That gets wiped when you lose connection or shutdown...
