How do I know if I need fans for my GPU, RAM and HDD?

Generally a case always needs fans. The Antec 300 should come with a few fans and they should adequately cool those parts. And you see if they will fit by guestimating from the given dimensions of the parts.

Thanks, it does comes with fans, I just noticed! I was just worried about getting fans for the GPU and RAM as I heard that some people have this.

The GPU already has a heatsink with a built in fan on it. Unless you mind out loud it is, it should cool the GPU. As for ram you'll be fine unless you are doing extreme overclocking.

Thanks, I just ordered a fan just in case (it was only £5). Nothing compared to how much everything else cost!

epic failboat... I smell a ban hammer coming!:D

As far as fans it depends on how 'cool' your system is staying while it's idle and a 'load' applied to it. I use Speccy, but there's other programs that tell you how hot/cool your components are running. I'd start with getting a simple program like that and seeing where you are at and going from there.

Thanks, I'm planning on getting a program to test the temperature as I would like to over clock eventually, but wasn't sure how accurate they are. I will try that program out :good:
