how do i know what type of video card i have?

i want to know because i want to start playing guild wars. so where do i check for my video card? thanks for the response!

You could always open up your computer and see what it says on your video card(it should the name of it somewhere). You can also right-click on "My Computer" click properties, go to the hardware tab, then click device manager, click "Display Adapters" and it should tell you what you have.

If you want to play Guild Wars then make sure you at least have a 9800 Pro or an equivalent of it if you want to play on high settings.

heck you might not even have a video card. I thought I had one and when I went to see how good it was, there wasn't one there. All I have is a chipset.

GOTO:
Start>run> type in dxdiag, (press enter).

A box will pop up, goto the display tab and your card will be listed there.
