OK, I hate it when I start up my computer early to be ready when I get back, and I find it at the log on screen. I have no password so how do I make it skip the log on screen and go strait to my desktop?

OK, I think there's some way to do so within User Accounts, but I know there's something in TweakUI that you can set who logs in. TweakUI is a free download, just search for it.

Go to Start>Control Panel>User Accounts>Click on Change the way users long on and off>and uncheck use the welcome screen.

If that doesnt work post back here and we can figure out what is wrong.

thanks! you solved MY problem

That doesn't fix it. Instead of a welcome screen, its like a windows 98 log on. When I do this I still have to log on, just in win 98 style.
