How do I make this a gaming PC?

You'll need a new quality power supply--somewhere between 550 and 600 watt,a more powerful graphics card---amd 7850 or higher or Nvidia 650 ti -and a few hundred dollars.

Ok thanks a lot! I looked at that graphics card you mentioned and it mentioned something about PCI-e 3.0 x16. My PC specs said it had PCI-e x16. Does that mean mine is PCI-e 1.0? And if so, will it not be compatible with the better graphics card?

Sorry, I was referring to when you said "It will be compatible, it just won't work as fast."
In regards to after I get a better graphics card that has PCI-e 3.0.

A 3.0 card will work just fine in your system, performance decrease will be minimal.

I'd be surprised if that didn't have PCI Express 2.0 since it seems fairly new. Not sure. Either way it will still work. The GT 620 is a 2.0 card.

Besides ps and gpu for gaming,,,

Your hdd is slow @ 5400rpm. 7200rpm will make the overall system faster. Or an ssd would be even better. Could use the 5400 for backups if you don't already have one.
