how do i make XP the primary instead of Vista?

s the xp boot loader loading vista or is vistas boot loader loading it or do you have a 3 party boot loader

excuse me? im dual booting with 2 different hard drives. i just press F12 to select which hard drive i want to boot off of. if I dont it will automatically just do Vista.

o sorry. i thought you had a boot loader to do that. if your drive is ata make the drive (the xp one) master on the jumpers and the vista hd on slave. if it is sata try just switching the cables around

i have SATA. switching them will not help as all SATA's are always master. all of them.

ya but if one is the master master then... i dont know. you might be better off geting a bootloader and making it boot xp first.

ok is a bootloader free, if so where can i get one.

yes there are free. but where and what kind i dont know. some one knows tho.
