Do I just simply put in the XP disc on start up and set bios to boot from DVD-rom??? Then make it install normal and overwrite everything that's already on it?

Also if I want to back up a few saved files from games do I just have to save the folder of saves and then drop it into the new folder once I re-install everything???

Thanks in advance

Just put in the disc on startup like you said and boot from CD drive. It will tell you to reformat your hard drive before you install XP. Then after that it will install XP.

To backup saved game files, just find the saved game in the game directory and copy it onto an external or whatever you have to backup. Then just copy it back into the same location you found it in.

If u want to reload the xp just boot from disk (set bios) and during the process it will ask u if u want to format. If u want to save some files I would burn to disk first and then put back later after u have put all programs, etc like u want it. Seems I reformat one drive or another every couple of months, but I have a lot of time on my hands.

My post is not needed now, post 2 says it all.

Before formatting just take your back up in the drive other then your are formatting , or take backup in external backup , then simply put the xp cd in cd-rom after this installation program will tell you all the steps.
