How do I set up my iphone to act as the wifi hub

Hi,

I have an iphone 4 and a tablet , the tablet has no slot to take a data sim card, nor is it compatible for any data internet (wifi only)

I want to put my data sim card in the iphone, then tether that to my tablet. Which has a much bigger screen

How is this done?

If you have the tether option available from your provider then just enable it.

Very confusing.

iPhone is not equipped to take any data card. The sim card is your carrier's card to activate the phone and phone number. It doesn't store any documents, messages, or photos.

If you want to use your iPhone as hot spot, there should be an option in the Setup near WiFi. I am not too sure about iPhone 4 (a little aged), but 5 and above sure have it.
