How do I tell the difference?

Hey guys my friend was going to buy some new ram for his computer.
But he doesnt know if its DDR or DDR2 preferably without opening the case.
The computer is just a year old and cost AU$1000 custon made for him.

And your positive because hes about to buy 2x1gb sticks that are DDR2
So they should be alright?

Ok I opened it up because we werent able to put that program onto his computer and checked some things.
At the moment hes using a 512MB stick of DDR PC3200 RAM.
And his motherboard is an ASUS K8V-MX i'll give you the link,
