MB not meaning MegaByte, but motherboard. Is there a way I can tell what socket my motherboard, and processor use to interface with eachother without opening up the computer? I have a trip tommorow, and have a lot of packing so I would like to find out how. Can I do it from WIndows? And if not Windows, at least the BIOS? Thanks for the help for anyone that responds.

Oh, BTW. I have Windows XP professional on a Dimension 8400.

CPUZ should do the trick, it will show up in as "package". If it doesn't show it, you call look at your cpu's code name and then google it to find out what socket it is.
