It's so easy, any website you visit knows that information. The people that have those in their sigs cant see your IP, only the person who is viewing it and the server know it.
It's the same thing as when you go to a site such as whatsmyip.com
ya even here they have it. if ian or a admin wanted to ban someone they can look up there ip on this site. BEWARE THEY ARE WATCHING . i know for my work, we use urchin. it records what internet you use, ip, os, service pack (for windows), how long, how many hits, where you went after. seems illegal to me but thats the internet for ya
You can get all that stuff from the webserver, it's all sent though the HTTP headers. boucin is correct as well, you can use javascript to find it all out too
