Hi, I'm having an issue where my neighbor is leeching off of my internet connection... now i don't wanna go report him or anything like that, but i would like to block him! is there a software or program of some sort that i can get that will "lock" my wireless internet? thanks

yes. When you set up you wireless you can encrypt it. Pop in the cd that your manufacturer gave you and follow the setup and encypte your wireless.

but the problem is that i dont have the cd.....:(

my wireless internet is set up so that its not connected to a computer... the cable box thingy that roadrunner gave me is connected to the router, and then the router sends this internet wirelessly to my laptop.... can i still encrypt my wireless internet? and thanks for the quick response

Go into command prompt and type "ipconfig", when the stuff comes up you should see a part called the default gateway. Type into internet explorer http:// followed by that default gateway number. In the screen that comes up, you should see a panel for security. Set up a WPA-PSK encryption (it should guide you through).

it asks for a username and password..... but i never made one...
is there like a default username and pass or something?
