How do you delete the chat history on the newer facebook chat?

They have a newer(updated) chat on Facebook and sometimes I'd like to delete the chat, not because of others cursing or anything, but sometimes the facebook chat freezes when there's alot of messages in the chat. Help please

why dont you turn off the chat option and then turn on it. It may help you. I haven't tried it tough. just a logic.
