How do you feel about this chip???

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz.......



I was hoping to get some feedback about this chip. GOOD....BAD...let me know.

if you insist on going AMD, that is a great chip. have you considered intel at all?

what is the price you can get that CPU for?

But why not go for a E8400,overclock it to 3.5-3.7Ghz

Well...this is my first build for a computer....so budget played a big part in my decision making. I didn't want to spend a ton of money and see it blow up..so... I bought this chip for 75 dollars and thought it was a good deal. I would have rather bought an Intel but...I took a chance with this chip. My computer is built and I am working on benchmarking it now....any advice about what I should use to benchmark it????

I have the same CPU. Its wonderful, its given me so much **** but i still love it. Kind of like a fraternity bond with it. The only problem i have with it is the temps it reaches. I gotta do big thing for my case...quick. But i love it sitll. Thats a great price, You bought it used? I bought mine retail at fry's for 160.
