i had a emachines computer and i modifide it and put it in a new case and i was woundering how you get rid of the boot screen with the big e?
 
I'm guessing you mean the image you get as soon as your turn your pc on. If there's an option to turn it off it'll be in the bios... usually something like Full screen logo or something similar. However, being an OEM system the mobo might have a custom bios that locks out most of the settings
 
Ya, I don't think you will be able to shut it down unless you modify the BIOS software, which is not recommended specially with the pre-built PCs.
 
A tempoary solution could be to disable the boot logo if you really dont want to look at it :)
