How do you know what RAM you need?

Can you just match up any memory that has the same number of pins as your motherboard?



and if your motherboard supports DDR2.

You lookup what kind of RAM your motherboard takes.

Best thing would be to take out your current RAM and write down the ratings, such as PC2 6400, or whatever, then look it up on NewEgg and get similar memory.
