I was wondering how to save a dvd to your hard drive so you can then put on another dvd or just to have on the hdd. Any info wanted Thanks:)

Current law is a little vague on this, one home copy applies to VHS only, not DVDs. This is the law as it is stated, there has been no extra clause to include DVDs. I believe there is a law in the works to specifically ban any sort of copying of DVDs anyway. So, it is best to stay away from this type of topic for the time being.

This is home video right phillip? Good good... Dvd decrypter was a great program.... I believe it is illegal to sell it anymore.

DVD Decryptor is no longer being updated, but I don't think it's terribly difficult to find. As to the legal situation, I believe that regardless of the laws related to backing up DVDs, it's illegal to break the copy protection used to protect the discs, which is required to make any sort of backup. If the DVD isn't copy protected, then you can just use Windows Explorer to copy the files from the DVD.

Of course, the legal status does depend on your jurisdiction.
