how do you think an extra notebook computer may work for you

hi, my girl friend gave me her notebook computer to me because she said she didn't need to use it. I was happy to get it but as soon as I turn it on I also don't know what I could do with it. It's not a new model but it's in very good condition. I don't want to sell it because it's in fact not my computer. I have a stable working location and I don't need to relocate to other places. What do you think an extra notebook may work for you at home? Any ideas? Please suggest.

Have a netbook i use for paying bills only. thats it. Its strictly for that and business.
Nice to have something light weight. Sitting in the yard or going on a plane or traveling.
