How do you Uninstall IE6?

dont uninstall IE. why would you do that?

windows uses IE for other things besides web browsing.

for example, you cannot update windows with IE.

One way maybe would to be to install IE7 and then uninstall IE7 and it SHOULD revert back to IE6 with hopefully any corrupted/missing IE files replaced and corrected ;)

you can't uninstall IE6, as said above, you can install IE7 and then it will revert back to IE6, why do you want to uninstall it anyway!?

I strongly suggest you get IE 7.0 or IE 8.0 Beta ( the latest , the best ). IE 6 is too vulnerable. While IE 7.0 is maybe unstable and often crashes, it won't be that vulnerable.

Download and install IE 8.0.

You admit yourself that IE7 is unstable and often crashes , so how can you recommend someone to install a BETA of IE8?

Beta's are renowned for bugs/crashes etc!!

beta's are a testing version, some betas are good, like Firefox 3 beta, that was good.

My problem was that I was trying to update to ie 7 but it would come up with a error saying that it could not install and it wanted me to restart the computer which did nothing. That's why I was wondering if you could uninstall it and I could install 7 on it. It appears that there is something in ie that's corrupted.

from the control panel>add remove program>add /remove widows components uncheck IE restart after the restart go to same place recheck IE restart and you are done.
