How Does One Paste jpgs together to form a different picture?

Would appreciate anyones help on this as I can't quite figure out how to paste or copy 2 or more seperate jpg images together to form a bigger picture. Specifically when I sell on Ebay, I sometimes sell several different items grouped together (like comic books for example). Obviously I scan first if I can physically fit the items in the scanner but if I can't, suppose I save 10 jpg images of seperate comics into my computer from the internet. Before I go on, I realise I can shoot a photo from my digital camera but I prefer not too. I have Photo Impression 4 software. How can I put these different images together to form 1 image? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

use photoshop cs 2 or 3, it will make your life happier

Just open a new project in that and copy and past all of the pictures you want to use onto it
