What else is better than what I have that is out that I can upgrade? Do I need a new motherboard?

Actually the X6800 is much better in games and other tasks then the QX6700, so you would actually be downgrading right now. I'd wait until Intel releases their true quad-cores before upgrading.

And you have a X6800, why dont you overclock it some?

you could always get a dx10 card like the 8800 (or 2 of them if money really isn't an issue). yeah, sli 2 8800's. then you can sell me that 7950 you have. that's how you can improve your system.
