subjestions????

that sounds like a pretty good layout love the core duo those kick ass and you have my envy i wish i had one like that

yea looks pretty good, but i'd also recommend gettin a better video card, u might wanna it separately for it will be cheaper. lol.

btw: ur name is firsttimebuilder.....if that is tru,, wat happens after u build ur first comp? LOL. just a thought....

Standard case Powersupply? I would suggest that you get a better one. Also, like others said, try to shoot for a 7300GS if you dont play games, or atleast a 7600gt if you do.

I HATE MSI boards with a passion. I mean. I REALLY hate them. Holy crap did I ever lose a lot of them. Like 1/3 of them, most of them DOA. AAAARGH. You ever do a build, go to power it up and there's NOTHING so you have to rip the whole stupid thing apart again to take the board out? I will never sell or own another one of those boards as long as I live.

Heh. Now that I have that out of my system.

Two things.

Change the motherboard to an Asus. You'll be glad you did.

Change the PSU. Standard case PSUs are usually junk. They are light as a feather, unreliable as hell and only offer up 1/2 the rated power. They are awful. I've gone through a lot of them. I highly recommend a PSU like Enermax, Antec or something like that. Far more reliable, much better power and you will be very happy with it. Not only that your gear will thank you. The reason I say this is that it is not uncommon for the cheap PSUs to pop or let a surge through and take some components with it. That can get expensive. Best to spend the money now.

Ok, your list is stating the E6400 has 4MB of L2 Cache. However, it only has 2MB. So, I ask you this: What is the point in spending an extra $60 - $80 when all you are getting is a poxy 200 Mhz? You can overclock the E6300 to 2.9 Ghz easily...

Just my 2 cents, which will hopefully save you a lot more :P

Though I do agree to change to ASUS for the Intel processor, MSI makes great boards for AMD sockets
