ah but wat aboout core 2 the cheapest dell with core 2 is like 2500$

The Core Duo is also a great processor. If I were you, I would take the Core Duo, and in turn have more memory (1GB vs 512MB), better video (7900GS vs x1400), larger hard drive (100GB vs 60GB), and many other things, if they were the same price.

Theres no doubt about it, that the Core 2 Duo is better. But if you can only get it on Alienware, then you will be trading off a much better video card, more storage, more ram, and other parts.
