Well, I've done all kinds of reading on this, disinfected countless systems, and in general gotten rather frustrated with Vundo. It seems to be the one strain of adware that is able to adapt to every technique I come up with to destroy it. I'm aware of the Symantec and McAfee tools (both of which are hit and miss), the FixVundo file available at various places online.
Just wondering if anyone has any insight as to what exactly it does to keep propogating. FYI, my most successful technique when the fix tools fail is to set an explicit deny permission to the system on whatever file Vundo is using. Once that's done and I reboot, I can delete all the necessary parts.
