How dose this look?

everything looks good but as redrider said dont get that motherboard. and if this comp is for gaming i would reccomend gettting amd dualcore.

  1. What's the computer going to be used for?
  2. What's your budget?
  3. You realise you haven't specified any RAM, right?
And just to agree with everyone else, ASRock motherboards are usually fairly poor quality.

I agree with what the people able said, i've dealt with 2 ASRock motherboards, and they are both pretty poor. I would also invest in the AMD X2 3800+ instead of that Penitum D.

i think he is an intel fanboy, although we know AMD dual cores own intels in every aspect of pc use. but if he wants intel then its his decsioin.

Dont call me an intel fanboy!:) I have said a few times i will think on geting an amd and i still have to decide fully. Anyway i have a budget of around £500 ish. I have a screen, keyboard, mouse and decent speakers. Oops i forgot the ram. 1 or 2 gigs would be good. Im using a ASRock motherboard justnow and its ok but if thats how everyone feels i will take your word for it. I want anysort of duel core but its more for multitasking but there will be some light gameing here and there.

WOW THAT CASE IS WAY COOL! I take it that that motherboard is PCI-E. I could most likely get the extra £200 from somewhere. Oh and to add to my "DONT CALL ME AN INTEL FANBOY" i have never had AMD so i dont know what to expect. Actuly come to think of it everyone i know seems to have intel so i would rather go with them because i know what to expect.

I never said i didnt like them but it sounds like alot of people on here have never had intel. I really feel if someone likes something you should work with it not try to change it to your personal opinion. I have had 7 intel processors and have always liked them so i will stick with them if thats ok with everyone.

ive owned a few intel systems... but after i saw how bad my 3GHz P4 got pwned by my Athlon XP 2900+ 2GHz, i never went back

well.... uhm... benchmarks dont lie, nor do FPS :P

but something that i noticed a diffrence in is heat, heat heat heat heat!

get an X2 or even just a regular 64, and you notice a very large preformance gap...

Nor should they be mistaken for real word performance.

That is a Presler, my Smithfield produces more heat and yet theres no problem what so ever to keep it under control. I pray someday people will understand that once and for all. :)

With the video subsystem he picked the difference in gaming between a Presler/X2 won't be noticable...

Now how can you reccomend a "regular 64"...

If you think that one is nice, look at the black with window:

or on its own:

And yes, that mobo is PCI-e, SLI at that!

Also, that PSU is very powerfull (55A on quad 12v lines) You could downgrade if you didnt need all that power!

So 26C idle is hot hot hot is it? It only takes a good HSF & a well venitlated case, and the temps between AMD & Intels are the same.

Wooooo! What you getting first?

BTW, you might get a hefty charge from ebuyer. I had a £15 surcharge because im on "Offshore Islands" They think the whole of scotland is a fecking island!

Mind you, I am in the far north of the highlands, and your near dundee, so you prob wont get the charge.

I got the case! I couldnt resist! Its SOOOOO cool! I love it! lol. I dont think i got charged the extra but oh well.
