I just got a amd 3200 64 90nm 939, its a venice core, and I have 5 fans (two intake and three out, and some what of a decent heat sink for my processor w/fan and that thermal grease) so great air flow, I don't really need to now, but when the time comes I want to know how much I can overclock????

Once you are going too fast for your CPU, you won;t be able to play games and such, it will freeze up.

Having many fans makes a medium amount of difference (based on airflow venting directions).

Using a top quality heatsink, thermal paste, and CPU fan will make the biggest difference in terms of removing heat.

k.... i have a thermaltake heatsink w/fan, with thermal grease. Still no one answered my question, and I dont want to find out how far I can push it before it freezes, I want to know like how many mhz i can overclock.

too fast for the CPU? the idea is to overclock the CPU in the first place...

quite possibly because it's been dealt with in OC 101.

i think that a proof read prior to post was required here, i get what you were trying to say

back to the topic, the amd64 3200 venice core, it stock 2ghz, and one would hope to be able to push it safely beyond the 2.4ghz max suggested by damasta55r. I'm sure i read somewhere about these models being oc'd upto 3ghz on a water cooled system

But remember the oc capicity can be very chip dependent, maybe you'll get a good one but then maybe you wont
