I was wondering how fast your computers boot up speed is from totally shut down to when the computer desktop shows up. My computer boots up in about 35 seconds. I am using windows xp home service pack 3 and 1403 mb of ram.

1403 gb of ram? wow i thought i had enough with 6 Gb but holy cow! :P

The time when your computer is totally shut down to the time the desktop shows up is not how fast your computer boots...its actually the time when your computer boots and loads your profile so to find the real speed, you will need to set a password on your account so it won't load your profile otherwise its not how fast your OS boots! And i have many computers but my old Laptop that is 4 years old with a 4200rpm hard drive and 3.0Ghz Pentium 4 processor and 768mb of ram boots Windows Xp Service pack 3 in about 18 seconds :)<thats because i did lots of registry and core tweaks to speed it up.

add a 10 seconds and under option.. Gotta be there for the enthusiasts that have mass raids or SSDs.

Mines about 19 seconds with windows 7.

25 seconds ish, give or take a couple, i tend to walk away, let it boot, come back, play :D

When i do sit and be boring and watch, it is 25 seconds ish, but if i have a fresh install maybe 20 at the most

Mines around 20 seconds with my current rig. try running msconfig and disabling ome stuff, you would be surprised how quickly your computer boots afterwards.
