How Fast??

I just Recently build a Intel Core 2 Dual with a Gigabyte board.

Mobo

CPU

I have 2 GB of memory,

Im wondering is there a way to test my computer speed, i mean by looking at the porperties it say 2.33 GHZ, but i dont see the different between my old P4 3.2 GHZ then this computer, is there any way to check?
 
I mean i have Everest, and i can check all the speed and stuffs, but when i load counterstrike a pc game (that my p4 can handle with no problem) my new pc take about the same time to load it, compare to the P4
 
ways to test speed:

cpu:download cpu-z
cpu temprature: download prime95 and fanspeed, check temps.
go 3dbenchmark programs on gooigle.
